What is food Insecurity?

Food insecurity is the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods, or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways.
How does it affect Clark County?
In Clark County, 15.6% of all families are food insecure. The Ohio level is 14.1% and the National level is 13.5% (data from Combined Health District's 2025 Community Health Assessment (CHA).
